South Florida Academy of Air Conditioning ( Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is your complete contract HVAC technician training center, concentrating on a hands on approach to career success! In just 8 weeks, you will receive hundreds of hours of intensive technical HVAC training at our HVAC training center. Our specialized intensive training (5 days a week, Monday through Friday, for two months straight) includes instruction on refrigeration theory, use of specialized tools, systems trouble shooting and repair, electrical diagram reading, electrical component diagnosis and repair, system maintenance, installation and repair of central air conditioning systems and both gas and electric heat systems. You will work on residential AC units, commercial rooftop units, refrigeration equipment, including convection freezers and walk in cooler systems, and even ice machine repair and maintenance, an industry in itself. You will learn to repair live gas and electric heaters, learn to copper braze, do complete HVAC central air installations, install UV light air purification equipment and more! As we are an approved EPA testing center, we will get you certified in HVAC at the national level, for all three types of HVAC certification offered by the EPA! Our HVAC academy is run by instructors with over 40 years in the service and teaching end of the business. We teach you what you need to know to feel comfortable on the job site. We provide you with the knowledge that you have the tools and training to get the job done right the first time, every time. Unlike home study or weekend crash course program approaches, our South Florida HVAC Academy offers a unique hands on study approach that gives your employee's/students the practical knowledge to repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC equipment in the field. Home study programs and crash course programs often leave employee's confused and unsure of their abilities. Classes will be held in a classroom/ lab atmosphere, where students will be instructed to repair and replace components on working models similar to what the student will find in the field.
